Bible Memory Verse System
By Bible Memory | October 11, 2008
Bible memory is a valuable exercise for any Christian. I would suggest that you start with a verse a week and by the end of a year you will know 52 verses!
I good friend developed a scripture memory system that works well for kids and for adults. Although the songs are not professional they are good enough to make Bible memory a breeze.
As with any endeavor, one needs to develop a system and a discipline to see results. I have found that spending five minutes a day learning a new verse and five minutes reviewing an old memory verse has allowed me to learn over 100 verses this last year.
One of the things I love about this program is it make it easy for kids to memorize the Bible. The system can easily be set up for a variety of games.
I don’t know about you but Bible memory does not come easy to me. Like anything worth achieving in life, it takes work!

“A good friend of mine” developed a website so that these Bible Memory aids could be shared with others free of charge. You!!
Thanks so much. You’ve done a super job!

I use a free Iphone/Ipod touch App, BibleGizmoLite, to help me to memorize scripture. It has an intelligent testing system where it ask you more often if you don’t remember the verse and less often if you already remember the verse. See http://www.algizmo.com or App store for detail

That is very interesting. Do you to the app programming yourself?

I have been using an index card method I learned years ago. When I follow it properly, I permenantly remember upwards of five verses a week. But it does take discipline – discipline I often wimp out and refuse to exercise.

Try the new iPhone app called Bible Memory. It lets you set up a reminder to study, share progress with a study group. It quizzes you and keeps track of which verses you’ve memorized and retests you over time. http://mobilizefaith.com
