What are some great memory verses that I can teach a preschooler?

By Bible Memory | January 28, 2010

My daughter is four years old and has spent the last three weeks memorizing Colossians 3:20. While she loved it and it made a noticeable difference in her behavior (LOL), it was her very first one, and I’d like her second one to be more “fun”. I have searched a bit online, but most of what I’ve found are lists of verses that are too long for her. Any suggestions for other verses that could be used?

1Peter 5:8 "Be self-controlled". My 3 year old constantly walks around exclaiming that one! Also, He likes Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Finally, he has learned 1Thes. 5:25 "Do good to one another". I have lots of children’s bibles and devotional books and they have verses on each page for children to relate to their daily lives and things they may struggle with.
